Quick answer

How does Easterlies stay on the buyer’s side when both sides pay?

You choose the lab and pay it directly — so every finding answers only to you. Both sides pay Easterlies, and both sides see both numbers, in writing, before the first PO. When a shipment is contested, one word from you puts Easterlies fully on your side. The supplier has never paid Easterlies a cent for the verification.

  • Verification money is paid to the buyer’s chosen lab or auditor, never through Easterlies.
  • Both fee numbers are disclosed in writing before the first purchase order.
  • The same unedited factual record goes to both parties if a shipment is contested.

The safeguards, in detail

Not your FSVP importer, customs broker, certifier, lab, label approver, or legal counsel. Final determinations always rest with your qualified reviewer. These boundaries are the reason this desk is safe to hire.

You commission the check and pay your lab or auditor directly. Where a supplier reimburses you for that cost, the payment moves supplier-to-buyer — it never touches us, and we take no margin on it.

If we earn a fee from your supplier on the same shipment, you see the number in writing before the first purchase order goes out — not a footnote, not "we may receive compensation." The number.

We hand over the same factual record to both of you, unedited, the moment a dispute opens. Say the word and we drop any fee we're holding from your supplier on that shipment and stand on your side for it. Payment never influences our findings.

Every finding carries its source and its date, so you can trace it yourself, line by line. Our commitment is to the record, not a warranty on the supplier or on anything they concealed from us — liability is capped at the fees you've paid us. The record is the product; a promise isn't.
